Access Johnson County

Access Johnson County located in Franklin Indiana went live with Easy Rides Plus last month! Transportation Director, Becky Allen, is excited about the substantial decrease in paper consumption! Their dedicated staff are making great strides transitioning to Easy Rides!

Access Johnson County began providing rides in 1995 with just one vehicle. Today, they have 26 vehicles and provide rides for all of Johnson County. They average 87,000 trips a year through their deviated fixed route and demand response. Mobilitat would like to thank all of the staff at Access Johnson County for their hard work and friendliness during the implementation of Easy Rides!

Lifetime Resources

Lifetime Resources is a not-for-profit agency that delivers services to the residents of Dearborn, Jefferson, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland Counties in southeast Indiana. Their services include In-Home Care Management, Nutrition Services, Information & Assistance, Sentry Services – Guardianship and Catch-A-Ride Public Transportation.

The first day of onsite training, Transportation Supervisor, Bill Steele, came into the dispatch office and gathered up all of the binders, notebooks, folders and files containing the “paper” versions of all of the trips, clients and drivers assignments. The dispatch staff were all busy on the phone so were unable to ask what he was doing. This turned out to be just the “tough love” they needed.

Although nervous at first, the staff knew that it was now time to jump in with both feet and go 100% “Live” with Easy Rides. They really worked hard and by the end of the day, got it all done with minimal problems. By the third day, things were going pretty smoothly and everyone was really starting to appreciate the capabilities of Easy Rides.

2009 NATB Managers Workshop

Mobilitat presented at the 2009 NATB Managers Workshop in Hasting, Nebraska on June 23rd and 24th. The NATB invited Mobilitat and other software and hardware vendors to the workshop to give an overview of their products and services and allow time for managers to attend each vendor’s booth. Cindy gave a wonderful summary about Mobilitat and the packages offered in Easy Rides. During breaks at the workshop, many people visited the Mobilitat Booth and received demonstrations of Easy Rides and its capability to work with MDC’s.

Mobilitat provided the grand prize give away for the NATB Managers Workshop. The prize being the 40 inch flat screen RCA television on display at the Mobilitat Booth during the show. The winner of the grand prize was Barb Graham from the Community Center of Hamilton County in Aurora, Nebraska. Barb was excited to announce she never wins anything and this broke her unlucky streak! She is looking forward to watching Big Red Football Games on it in the fall! Barb was reminded by her children that this 40 inch television may look better in their homes but she’s keeping it! We congratulate Barb on her win and send our sincere thanks to the NATB Managers for inviting Mobilitat to participate this year and look forward to attending the show next year!

Transpro/NW Connections

Last month we traveled up to Tacoma Washington to help Transpro make the switch to Easy Rides Plus. After training online for several weeks we were ready to go! Transpro runs a 24 hour operation so we stayed up late to go live right at midnight. All of the staff worked extra hard to make the transition go smoothly. We appreciate all of the hard work and welcome them to the Mobilitat family!

CTAA 2009 Providence, RI

We had a great time at this year’s CTAA Expo! There were so many people in attendance! We saw many old friends and met many new. FTA Administrator Peter Rogoff spoke at the EXPO’s opening luncheon, our own Cindy Johnson gave two great presentations and we definitely had a blast at the Big Night Out Waterfire event! We even took a few pictures, which you can view at here.

We look forward to seeing you at next year’s Expo in Long Beach, CA!
