What is Easy Rides?

Easy Rides is top-of-the-line comprehensive paratransit software. It comes in three editions to suit the needs of small to large transportation providers. Easy Rides includes advanced features such as GIS and AVL. Easy Rides contains advanced reporting tools to make reporting, billing, and data analysis a breeze.

Technology

Based on Microsoft SQL Server technology, the Easy Rides database is open for customers to develop their own analysis and reports using MS Access, Crystal Reports, etc. In addition, Easy Rides provides export capabilities to Excel, an enhanced Report Generator, and many standard reports. For advanced GIS fuctions we integrate with Microsoft Mappoint, providing you with detailed maps of the entire country for a fraction of the cost of some GIS systems.

Easy Rides Starter

Easy Rides Starter is our low cost, feature rich software packaged for small organizations with fewer than 10 routes and vehicles.

Easy Rides Basic

Easy Rides Basic is our standard paratransit software for small to medium sized systems.

Easy Rides Plus

Easy Rides Plus is our top-of-the-line comprehensive paratransit software with GIS and AVL.

Workstation Hardware Requirements

  • Intel Pentium processor at 2.0 GHz and 2GB Ram. 4GB Recommended for Vista or Windows 7.
  • Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate reccomended for new systems.
  • MS Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista Business or Vista Ultimate are also supported.
  • Microsoft Office Professional 2003 or later.
  • 80 GB hard drive
  • Available USB port
  • CD ROM drive
  • Network connectivity
  • Recommended 19” or larger viewable screen monitor. Dual monitors strongly advised for dispatchers.
  • Mouse or other pointing device

  • Intel Pentium (Dual core) processor at 2.0 GHz and 4GB Ram. 8GB Recommended.
  • Windows Server 2003 or Server 2008
  • Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate, Windows Vista Business or Vista Ultimate and MS Windows XP Pro are also supported.
  • Microsoft Office Professional 2003 or later.
  • 80 GB hard drive
  • Available USB port
  • CD-RW drive
  • Network connectivity
  • Backup media (CD R/W or tape)
  • 17” monitor
  • Shared or network printer
  • Mouse or other pointing device

Notes

  • * Regarding Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7, please note Home versions (Basic and Premium) do not have some features Easy Rides requires. Make sure you purchase computers with either Business, Professional or Ultimate versions of Windows.
  • The server should not be a computer running as a Domain controller or as an MS Exchange server. Contact us if you have any questions about your server configuration.
  • Some users may wish to use the server as both a server and a workstation, if this is the case you will need to meet the requirements for both the server and the workstation.
  • For added performance we recommend purchasing additional ram for your systems.
  • Mappoint 2009 or later required for EasyRides Plus.
  • Mappoint 2010 is the most current version of Mappoint.
  • MS Access 2003 or later required for MS Access based customer driver manifests.
  • MS Office 2007 is the most current version of Office. However Office 2010 will be released in June. Please check with your vendor to see if you qualify for a free upgrade from Office 2007.
  • For systems which include off-site locations, requiring remote desktop connections, please contact us to discuss the requirements for running Easy Rides over terminal services.
